# Students

*Last updated: 2026-08-07.*

TheContentForge for Students is a lower-priced lane built for individual students and campus organisations. A student gets the same content engine as the main product, narrowed to the content a student actually needs, priced for a student budget, and metered by a monthly credit allowance instead of a seat licence. The entire lane is invite-gated and not generally available yet (beta / in progress), so everything below is live in the product but reachable only by waitlist invitation or a campus code.

## Getting access

How a student gets in today. Every tier is gated by an invite code, including the free one.

* **Join Student Beta** - The waitlist form on the Students page takes an email plus optional name, school, tier interest, and which student vertical fits them best, and requires the person to confirm they are 18 or older and a current student. This is the front door for anyone without a code, and the buttons on the four public tier cards all point here.
* **Beta code activation** - A student with a campus code enters it on the Get Started page, and the product checks that it is real, unexpired, and not already fully claimed before letting them proceed. If a code fails, the student sees which of those reasons applied and can try a different one without losing their place.
* **Student Free activation** - A valid free-tier code opens a short signup form covering name, email, password, and workspace name. The account, the workspace, and the first month of credits are created in one step, and the student is signed in and taken straight into onboarding.
* **Paid student checkout** - Plus, Pro, and Club codes send the student to card checkout at the monthly student price. Student subscriptions are card only and monthly only, and the invite code is only spent once payment succeeds, so an abandoned checkout does not burn it.
* **Bring TheContentForge to Your Campus** - The Students page carries a campus pilot pitch aimed at career centres, club councils, accelerators, and athletic departments, with a button that opens the demo request form rather than a self-serve signup.

## Student verticals

During onboarding the student picks one or more verticals describing what they are building. Those picks decide which content types show up when they go to create something, and they can be changed later.

* **Student Creator** - For a student growing a personal brand on TikTok, Instagram, X, YouTube, or LinkedIn. Produces hook-led single posts with per-platform caption variants and a matching image idea, caption packs with hashtag bundles for a video, bios sized for each platform, seven-day and thirty-day content plans, and a full personal brand kit covering positioning, bios, a starter plan, a hook bank, and content pillars.
* **Career & Internships** - For a student chasing internships, jobs, and a professional network. Produces LinkedIn posts, new role and internship announcements across LinkedIn plus short-form platforms, cold, warm, and follow-up networking messages, career fair and info session follow-ups by email or message, and a matched set of LinkedIn About section, resume summary, and short networking bio. It deliberately avoids making the student sound more experienced than they are.
* **Clubs & Campus Events** - For clubs, Greek life, teams, and campus organisations. Produces event promotion packs covering social posts, story copy, and a flyer headline, recruitment packs with a spoken tabling pitch, posts, and outreach message templates, member spotlights, fundraiser copy for the launch ask through to donor thank-yous, event recap packs with a highlight reel script and carousel captions, and a full campaign kit that walks one event from tease to recap.
* **Student Entrepreneur** - For a side hustle, clothing brand, app, agency, or startup. Produces founder stories at three lengths, launch day announcements with supporting posts and a thread, customer personas with sample messaging, a seven-day launch plan, elevator and verbal pitch scripts, and a full brand launch kit tying positioning, story, persona, plan, hero post, and pitch together. It will not invent revenue, users, funding, partnerships, or testimonials.
* **Athlete / NIL** - For student athletes building a brand around their sport. Produces game day and training posts, short and long-form athlete bios suitable for a sponsor packet, sponsor-friendly posts with a more conservative fallback version, NIL deal announcements across three platforms, and a full NIL positioning kit with value propositions, brand voice, sample posts, and pitch deck copy. Sponsored output always carries a paid-partnership disclosure, and the safeguards described further down apply most strictly here.
* **Video & Podcast** - For students running a show, channel, or podcast. This vertical adds nothing to the create screen; it works entirely from an uploaded video in the video tool, turning one episode into a promotion pack with a title, description, thumbnail headline, and social posts, a clip pack with short-form hooks and teaser copy, or a repurpose pack of thread, key takeaways, captions, and clip titles.
* **Change your verticals** - A settings panel lets a student add or drop verticals after onboarding, and the change applies the next time they generate. Useful when a student starts as a creator and later joins a club or signs an NIL deal.

## Credits and plans

Student pricing is a monthly credit allowance rather than a per-seat licence, so a student pays for how much they create.

* **Student plans** - Four tiers. Free costs nothing and includes 10 credits a month for one person. Plus is $9 a month for 50 credits, Pro is $19 a month for 150 credits, and Club is $49 a month for 300 credits shared across a workspace of up to ten seats, the only tier that carries a light approval step.
* **What a credit buys** - Cost scales with how much work the request is. One credit covers a single post, bio, spotlight, or networking message. Two covers a multi-asset pack such as a caption pack, event promo, recruitment pack, fundraiser set, professional bio set, launch post, persona, or NIL announcement; three covers a seven-day plan or an event recap pack; eight covers a thirty-day plan; ten covers a full launch, campaign, or NIL positioning kit.
* **Everyday tools included** - The general purpose tools students share with the rest of the product, meaning rewriting a draft, building a thread, writing a comment, generating an image, and turning news into a post, cost one credit each. The brand overview, the what is working view, and the newsletter builder are open to students and are not metered at all.
* **Credit balance and price preview** - The create screen shows the balance remaining against the monthly allowance and what the selected content type will cost before the student commits, and it blocks the request with a message naming the cost and the balance when there is not enough left.
* **Automatic refund on failure** - If a vertical content type fails after credits were taken, the credits go back to the balance automatically. Refunds on the shared general tools are not automatic yet, so a failed run on one of those needs a request to support to get the credits back.
* **Monthly credit reset** - The allowance refills once a month on the workspace's own renewal date rather than on a shared calendar day, topping the balance back up to the tier allowance rather than rolling anything over.
* **Low balance email** - When a workspace drops below a fifth of its monthly allowance, the workspace owner gets one heads-up email for that cycle so they can pace themselves or upgrade.

## The student workspace

Students get a deliberately smaller version of the product. The heavy market and competitor intelligence surfaces are not part of any student plan.

* **Trimmed navigation** - A student workspace hides the surfaces that are not included in student pricing: on-chain intelligence, market signals, media monitoring, the daily crypto briefing, and the content optimisation hub. What remains is the dashboard, calendar, content creation, video, image creation, brand voice, assets, knowledge base, settings, and support.
* **Enforced entitlements** - The areas outside student pricing are genuinely unavailable on a student plan rather than just hidden from the menu, so a student plan buys exactly what it says it does. This keeps the low student price honest.
* **Brand Voice for students** - Because students do not see the hub the brand voice tool usually lives in, they get a direct link to it in their own menu, so a student can still teach the product how they write.
* **Student tones** - The tone picker gains Confident, Casual, Founder-style, and Creator-style options for student workspaces, on top of the standard tones.
* **Student content type labels** - Vertical-specific content types carry a Beta label in the create screen so a student can tell the student-tailored tools apart from the general ones they share with everyone else.
* **Video preset packs** - In video, each vertical adds one-tap output packs, for example a game day pack for athletes, an event recap pack for clubs, or an episode promo pack for podcasters, so the student does not have to work out which outputs make sense for their situation.
* **Locked workspace type** - A workspace created through a student code is fixed as a student workspace at creation, so onboarding cannot be used to convert it into a more expensive configuration.

## Compliance and NIL safeguards

The student lane carries rules the product enforces itself, not just guidance in the terms. This section describes only what the product actually does.

* **Age and eligibility confirmation** - Joining the waitlist, activating a free account, and paying for a student plan all require the person to confirm they are 18 or older and a current student. The request is refused without it, and for a workspace the confirmation is recorded with a timestamp.
* **Student and NIL responsibilities at signup** - Free activation requires agreeing to the Terms with an explicit statement that the student is responsible for their school's NIL policy and code of conduct, for disclosing paid partnerships, and for reviewing AI-assisted drafts before posting. Paid checkout requires that same statement as a separate tick alongside the Terms and Privacy Policy. The version accepted is stored so students can be asked again if the policy changes.
* **First-run acknowledgement** - Onboarding will not move past the vertical picker until the student ticks that generated content is a draft they will review and that they are responsible for their school's code of conduct, disclosure of paid partnerships, and applicable law. A student who selects the athlete vertical must additionally acknowledge school, conference, and NCAA rules, disclosure of paid partnerships, the ban on gambling promotion, and the restriction on using school marks.
* **Restricted content screening** - Content produced through the student content types is screened before the student sees it for material that could put their standing or their athletic eligibility at risk, such as gambling promotion or a claimed school endorsement. Where a problem is found, the passage is rewritten to remove it while the rest of the post is kept intact, removed with a visible note when it cannot be made safe, or flagged plainly for the student to fix. Nothing is changed or removed without the student being told.
* **Paid partnership disclosure** - Sponsor posts and NIL deal announcements always leave with a clear paid-partnership disclosure attached to each post, and where the product added or strengthened that disclosure it tells the student it did so.
* **School marks and endorsement protection** - Image ideas produced for students avoid real university, college, and team marks and imagery, and the product will not claim or imply that a school, team, athletic department, or the NCAA endorses the student.
* **Adjustment notice** - Whenever anything was changed for compliance, the result carries a short plain-English notice naming what was adjusted and reminding the student to check their school's NIL policy and code of conduct before posting.
* **Draft disclaimer at entry** - The student agrees at signup, and again on first run, that everything the product returns is an AI-assisted draft to review before posting, with the standing reminder about NIL policy, code of conduct, and disclosing paid partnerships.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://thecontentforge.gitbook.io/thecontentforge-docs/feature-glossary/glossary/students.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
