# FAQ

Short answers to common questions. For deeper how-to detail, see the **Feature Guides** section in the sidebar.

## Getting Started

### What is TheContentForge?

TheContentForge is a social intelligence and content operations OS for serious social teams, creator-led brands, agencies, media teams, and Web3 projects. It combines AI content generation, brand voice, video repurposing, performance analytics, competitor and algorithm signal monitoring, publishing, and on-chain Web3 Intelligence in a single workspace. See [What is TheContentForge?](/thecontentforge-docs/getting-started/what-is-thecontentforge.md).

### Who is TheContentForge built for?

Operator-grade social teams that publish consistently and care how the brand shows up — internal media teams, creator-led brands, agencies, Web3 projects, and high-output editorial teams across SaaS, finance, gaming, entertainment, sports, e-commerce, and startups. If you only need a basic scheduler or one-off AI captions, this is probably not the right tool.

### Is TheContentForge only for crypto or Web3 teams?

No. Web3 is one supported segment with extra structure for project teams, but TheContentForge is built around content generation, brand voice, performance signals, publishing, and team operations — all of which apply to non-crypto teams. Web3 Intelligence is an additional layer for teams that need on-chain context; it is not the core identity of the platform.

### How do I get started?

Two self-serve paths and one founder-led path. **Starter** and **Pro** are self-serve paid plans — pick one on the [Pricing](/thecontentforge-docs/reference/pricing.md) page and complete checkout, which creates a new workspace with you as the Owner. **Enterprise** and **Custom** plans are scoped through a founder-led demo so we can configure the right setup for your team.

### How do I join an existing workspace as a teammate?

You need an Owner or Admin of that workspace to invite you from their Users page. There is no self-request flow to join a workspace you don't already belong to — invitations are the only way in. The Request Access / demo form on the login page is for new founders or buying teams, not for joining an existing workspace.

### What are the different user roles?

Four workspace roles: **Member** (read-only access to most surfaces), **Editor** (create and publish content, approve in the Calendar), **Admin** (manage users, social connections, and settings), and **Owner** (full control over the workspace, billing, and onboarding). See [User Roles](/thecontentforge-docs/getting-started/user-roles.md).

### What should I do after my account is set up?

Sign in and finish the [Setup Wizard](/thecontentforge-docs/getting-started/onboarding-wizard.md) at `/org-setup` if it isn't already complete. Set up your [Brand Voice](/thecontentforge-docs/feature-guides/brand-voice.md) early so Content Forge and Video Forge outputs match your team's tone from day one, then connect your social accounts and import or sync analytics so the Dashboard and Patterns start showing real data. See [Your First Login](/thecontentforge-docs/getting-started/first-login.md).

## How it compares

### How is TheContentForge different from Buffer, Hootsuite, or Sprout?

Traditional social platforms are built around scheduling, inboxes, and reporting. TheContentForge is built around intelligence-to-content workflows: understand what is moving on the platforms you care about, generate with brand voice and performance context, then publish. Scheduling and a calendar are included; they are not the centre of the product.

### How is TheContentForge different from ChatGPT or a generic AI writing tool?

Generic AI tools produce one-off outputs from a loose prompt. TheContentForge connects brand voice, audience and goals, post history, performance patterns, platform algorithm signals, asset and project knowledge, and Web3 intelligence into one system, so generation is grounded in your team's actual context — not a fresh chat every time.

### Can agencies manage multiple brands or workspaces?

Yes. Each brand or client is its own workspace with isolated data, users, brand voice, social connections, and settings. Users with memberships in multiple workspaces switch between them from the sidebar; a default workspace can be starred on the Account page.

### Does TheContentForge replace a social media manager?

No. TheContentForge is operator tooling, not autopilot. It generates drafts, surfaces signals, captures patterns, and runs publishing — but editorial judgment, calendar discipline, and platform strategy still belong to the team using it.

## Features Overview

### What is Content Forge?

The drafting surface. AI-generated content across X, Instagram, and Facebook, anchored to your Brand Voice. There are eight standard modes: Rewrite Draft, Breaking News, Image Post, Post Helper, Thread, Comment King, What's Working, and Brand Voice. Web3 Project orgs also get **Summarize the project**, a structured thread builder backed by Project Knowledge. It supports URL loading, screenshot extraction, referenced-post workflows, headline image generation, Fast / Best speed modes, live progress status, and AI Revise on output cards. See [Content Forge](/thecontentforge-docs/feature-guides/content-studio.md).

### Can I publish a full X thread, not just the first tweet?

Yes. Any mode that returns an X thread opens a per-tweet editor in the Publish Panel. Every tweet is editable, each can have its own media attachment — upload, AI-generated headline image, or a brand asset from the Asset Library — and all of them post in order with X reply chaining. Threads collapse to one entry on the Calendar and expand inside the event drawer so the whole chain is visible before it sends. See [Publishing](/thecontentforge-docs/feature-guides/publishing.md).

### What's the difference between Fast and Best?

**Fast** is a single-pass draft and polish, quick and well-suited to iteration. **Best** runs a deeper evaluation pass, slower but higher quality. Your choice persists across sessions. The Telegram bot always uses Fast.

### Can I revise a generated post?

Yes. Every output card has a **Revise** button. Open the inline editor, adjust the text, type an instruction ("shorter", "lead with the stat"), and Apply. It only affects that one platform's output, and preserves links, @mentions, cashtags, and facts unless your instruction asks otherwise.

### What is Brand Voice?

A configurable profile of how your brand sounds: voice description, tone attributes, vocabulary, forbidden phrases, length preferences, and example posts. Used by Content Forge and Video Forge generation. See [Brand Voice](/thecontentforge-docs/feature-guides/brand-voice.md).

### What is Patterns?

A view of what's actually working in your content: recurring formats, hooks, and topics that consistently win or lose. Built from your ingested and synced analytics. See [Patterns](/thecontentforge-docs/feature-guides/patterns.md).

### What is Experiments?

A structured A/B testing tracker. Define a control, a variant, a success metric, and a window, then record what you learned. See [Experiments](/thecontentforge-docs/feature-guides/experiments.md).

### What is Competitor Analysis?

Performance and pattern tracking for accounts you want to learn from. Suggestions come tagged with a why-it-works explanation and an impact rating. You can spin any suggestion into a pre-filled experiment in one click. See [Competitor Analysis](/thecontentforge-docs/feature-guides/competitor-analysis.md).

### What is the Asset Library?

A central, org-scoped store for brand assets, reusable media, and source documents. Upload PDFs to extract summaries, claims, metrics, and post ideas, then use a document as source material in Content Forge. See [Asset Library](/thecontentforge-docs/feature-guides/asset-library.md).

### What is Data Ingestion?

Editor+ feature for uploading platform analytics exports. It powers the Dashboard and Patterns alongside analytics synced from connected social profiles. Recommended cadence: weekly, every Monday. See [Data Ingestion](/thecontentforge-docs/feature-guides/data-ingestion.md).

### What is Algorithm Watch?

A monitor for platform algorithm signals across X, Instagram, and Facebook. It includes Signals, Algorithm Updates, and Current Events. Sources are reviewed on a two-week cadence and used as advisory context for Content Forge. See [Algorithm Watch](/thecontentforge-docs/feature-guides/algorithm-watch.md).

### What is ForgeSays?

An xAI-powered feed for crypto-relevant intelligence, community sentiment, market signals, and real-time events. Use it as input for Content Forge and Experiments. See [ForgeSays](/thecontentforge-docs/feature-guides/forge-says.md).

### What is Video Forge?

A dedicated workspace for turning long-form video or clips into platform-ready content. Uploads are transcribed, analysed for summary / quotes / hooks / key moments, enriched with visual insights when the source video is available, and then used to generate X Post, Quote Card, Key Takeaways, Instagram Caption, Facebook Post, Telegram Update, Teaser Copy, Clip Titles, Follow-Up Angles, X Thread, and Episode Summary. See [Video Forge](/thecontentforge-docs/feature-guides/video-studio.md).

### Does Video Forge include clipping?

Yes. Video Forge has built-in clipping. The Visual tab can suggest clippable moments, let you cut a short MP4 from the session, and carry that clip context into generation so the transcript, clip, and final post all stay in the same workflow. See [Video Forge](/thecontentforge-docs/feature-guides/video-studio.md).

### What is the Telegram Bot?

The Telegram Bot supports three commands: `/generate` (create a post from a topic, X link, or article), `/cancel` (stop an active generation), and `/help` (list available commands). Posts generated via the bot appear in Content Forge History with a Telegram source badge. See [Telegram Bot](/thecontentforge-docs/admin-guide/telegram-bot.md).

### Is there a social publishing feature?

Yes. Link X, Instagram, and Facebook via OAuth from the Social Connections page, then publish or schedule posts directly from Content Forge or Video Forge Publish Panels. Owners and Admins manage the connections. If approval workflow is off, any user can publish through already-connected publishable profiles. If approval workflow is on, send behavior is gated by the configured approval threshold. You can attach media, manually log posts you already published elsewhere, and see everything on the Calendar. See [Publishing](/thecontentforge-docs/feature-guides/publishing.md) and [Social Connections](/thecontentforge-docs/feature-guides/social-connections.md).

### Can I attach images or video when publishing?

Yes. The Publish Panel has an attach button for images and video. Media is uploaded on submit (not when you pick it), retries reuse the upload, and ephemeral attachments are cleaned up 24 hours after publishing. See [Publishing](/thecontentforge-docs/feature-guides/publishing.md).

### Is there a content calendar?

Yes. The Calendar shows scheduled, pending-approval, posted, manually logged, and failed posts across X, Instagram, and Facebook with month/week/day views, status and platform filters, and reschedule / cancel / approve actions. See [Calendar](/thecontentforge-docs/feature-guides/calendar.md).

### Does the app support approval workflows?

Yes, on plans that include it. Admins enable approval in Settings and pick a minimum approver role (Editor, Admin, or Owner). Posts waiting on approval appear on the [Calendar](/thecontentforge-docs/feature-guides/calendar.md), where approvers can accept or reject them before they send.

### What is the Generation Queue?

The Generation Queue tracks active and recent generation jobs across the org. It appears as a floating widget and can show Content Forge, ForgeSays, Video Forge, and document-analysis work. Multiple jobs run in parallel. See [Generation Queue](/thecontentforge-docs/feature-guides/generation-queue.md).

### What is a Web3 Project org?

A Web3 Project org gets a structured project knowledge workflow inside TheContentForge. Admins can maintain project profile, positioning, team, roadmap, FAQs, objections, and other approved project context so Content Forge can generate from project knowledge instead of relying on a loose prompt alone. See [Web3 Projects](/thecontentforge-docs/feature-guides/web3-project.md).

## On-Chain Intelligence

### What is Wallet Intelligence?

A Solana wallet watchlist with a live on-chain feed, alert rules, and AI analysis. Track wallets, organise them into groups, backfill 1,000 transactions of history, set alerts for the moves that matter, and send events or analysis straight into Content Forge. See [Wallet Intelligence](/thecontentforge-docs/intelligence/wallet-intelligence.md).

### What is Token Intelligence?

A token watchlist with price, volume, and liquidity tracking. Surface trending movers and AI-flagged anomalies in **Market Pulse**, run multi-token AI analysis reports, and push the best angles into Content Forge. See [Token Intelligence](/thecontentforge-docs/intelligence/token-intelligence.md).

### What is DeFi Intelligence?

Yield, lending, and liquidation context for on-chain positions. Browse Kamino vaults, watchlist the ones you care about, monitor lending markets, query wallet positions for liquidation risk, and turn the findings into content angles. See [DeFi Intelligence](/thecontentforge-docs/intelligence/defi-intelligence.md).

### What is Execution Intelligence?

A pre-publish sanity check for swap-related posts. Quote any token swap through DFlow, see the expected output, price impact, and liquidity, and generate an archived report with suggested social posts and a manual verification checklist. See [Execution Intelligence](/thecontentforge-docs/intelligence/execution-intelligence.md).

### Do I need to link a wallet to use these features?

No — wallet linking is optional and personal. Wallet, Token, DeFi, and Execution Intelligence work at the org level using the wallets and tokens you choose to track. Linking a personal wallet on the [My Account](/thecontentforge-docs/feature-guides/my-account.md) page is for verified ownership flows; it doesn't gate access to Intelligence pages.

### Do these features replace ForgeSays?

No, they complement it. [ForgeSays](/thecontentforge-docs/feature-guides/forge-says.md) is your narrative and event signal feed — community sentiment, market moves, current events. The Intelligence pages are your on-chain ground-truth — wallets, tokens, vaults, and execution. Pair them: ForgeSays tells you a story is breaking; Intelligence tells you whether the on-chain data backs it up.

## Web3 safety

### Does TheContentForge custody funds or require private keys?

No. TheContentForge never holds funds, never asks for private keys or seed phrases, and never signs transactions. The Intelligence pages read public on-chain data and metadata only; linking a personal wallet on the [Account page](/thecontentforge-docs/feature-guides/my-account.md) is for verified ownership flows, not for moving assets.

### Does TheContentForge execute trades or place transactions on my behalf?

No. Every Intelligence module is read-only. Quote Check in [Execution Intelligence](/thecontentforge-docs/intelligence/execution-intelligence.md) is a quote API call, not a transaction — no approvals, no signatures, no broadcast. If you want to act on what you see, you do so off-platform through the relevant wallet or app.

### Does TheContentForge facilitate betting or wagering?

No. The Prediction Markets tab in [Execution Intelligence](/thecontentforge-docs/intelligence/execution-intelligence.md) is a discovery and content-context surface only. TheContentForge does not place, route, custody, or settle wagers. Availability and content may depend on provider support and your jurisdiction.

### Does TheContentForge give financial advice?

No. Reports, signals, suggested angles, and AI-generated content from any Intelligence module are informational and editorial — they are inputs for content decisions, not buy, sell, or trade recommendations.

### What data sources power Web3 Intelligence?

TheContentForge integrates with a small set of established Web3 data partners. [Wallet Intelligence](/thecontentforge-docs/intelligence/wallet-intelligence.md) reads Solana on-chain activity via QuickNode. [Token Intelligence](/thecontentforge-docs/intelligence/token-intelligence.md) uses Birdeye for price, liquidity, and market context. [DeFi Intelligence](/thecontentforge-docs/intelligence/defi-intelligence.md) is Kamino-powered read-only DeFi context. [Execution Intelligence](/thecontentforge-docs/intelligence/execution-intelligence.md) uses DFlow for swap quotes and prediction-market context. None of these providers receive your private keys or trigger transactions on your behalf.

## Admin & Setup

### Is there an onboarding wizard?

Yes. New org owners land on the Setup Wizard at `/org-setup`: an 8-step core setup (identity, handles, goals, audience, publishing behavior, brand voice, etc.) and up to 5 standard advanced steps (competitors, team invites, Telegram, approval workflow, RSS feeds). Web3 Project orgs also get an additional structured project setup path covering profile, positioning, team, roadmap, and FAQs/objections. Progress is saved between sessions. See [Onboarding Wizard](/thecontentforge-docs/getting-started/onboarding-wizard.md).

### Can I pick a default team?

Yes. On your Account page, click the star next to any org you belong to; that org becomes the default you land on at sign-in. You can still switch orgs at any time from the sidebar.

### How do I approve new users?

Go to **Users** as an Admin, click the pending request, choose **Approve**, and assign a role. See [Managing Users & Roles](/thecontentforge-docs/admin-guide/users-and-roles.md).

### How do I change a user's role?

On the **Users** page, open the role dropdown next to the user, and pick the new role. The change is immediate.

### How do I connect social accounts?

Org owners and Admins can connect X, Instagram, and Facebook from **Social Connections**. Each discovered profile can be marked **Track**, **Publish**, both, or neither. See [Social Connections](/thecontentforge-docs/feature-guides/social-connections.md).

### How do I update the site password?

You don't; it's been removed. Access is now controlled entirely through user accounts and roles. See [Settings Reference](/thecontentforge-docs/admin-guide/settings-reference.md).

## Plans and billing

### What plan tiers are available?

TheContentForge offers Starter ($500/mo or $1,000/qtr), Pro ($1,000/mo or $2,000/qtr), and Enterprise ($1,500/mo or $3,000/qtr) plans, plus Custom plans for organisations with specific requirements. Every paid tier includes the core product. Founders pricing for the first 25 founding teams in Q2 is $400/$800/$1,200 monthly or $800/$1,600/$2,400 quarterly. See [Pricing](/thecontentforge-docs/reference/pricing.md) for a full comparison.

### What is the difference between the plans?

Starter is for small teams getting started: 2 users, 3 competitor sources, 1 active social profile, 2 active experiments, and 6-month analytics retention. Pro is the flagship plan for serious social teams: 10 users, 20 competitor sources, 5 active social profiles, 50 active experiments, 3 Brand Voice profiles, 5 Telegram bot channels, 12-month retention, approval workflow, and priority support. Enterprise supports 25 users, 50 competitor sources, 25 active social profiles, 200 active experiments, 10 Brand Voice profiles, 25 Telegram bot channels, 36-month retention, onboarding, and multi-level approvals.

### What counts against the social profile limit?

A social profile counts when either **Track** or **Publish** is enabled. Parked profiles with both toggles off stay connected but do not count.

### Do you offer quarterly billing?

Yes. Quarterly plans are billed once upfront and **include 1 month free** compared to standard monthly billing: Starter $1,000/qtr, Pro $2,000/qtr, Enterprise $3,000/qtr. Founders pricing for early teams is $800/$1,600/$2,400 quarterly.

### How does billing work?

Plans are billed monthly in advance or quarterly in advance (with 1 month free). Both renew automatically. Founders-pricing discount currently applies to both monthly and quarterly standard plans for the founders cohort. See [Terms of Service](/thecontentforge-docs/legal/terms-of-service.md) for full billing terms.

### Can I cancel or change my plan?

Yes. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Plan changes can be requested by contacting <support@thecontentforge.io>. Upgrades are prorated; downgrades apply from the next billing cycle.

### What is your refund policy?

Subscription fees are non-refundable. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact <support@thecontentforge.io> within 14 days and we will investigate.

### What happens if I exceed a plan limit?

You will be prompted to upgrade before the limit is enforced. TheContentForge does not silently cut off access without notice.

### Is there a free trial?

There is no self-serve free trial. Starter and Pro are self-serve paid plans with monthly or quarterly billing. Enterprise and Custom teams can request a founder-led demo before choosing the right setup, or contact <support@thecontentforge.io> to discuss a scoped evaluation.

## Support and feedback

### How do I report a bug or request a feature?

Sign in to TheContentForge and use the **Report Issue** or **Request Feature** buttons in the sidebar menu, or visit `/support` to open the Support Inbox. Bug reports support severity, attachments, and screenshots; feature requests capture the use case. Reporting is only available to signed-in active users — it is not on the public landing, pricing, or FAQ pages. See [Support & Feedback](/thecontentforge-docs/feature-guides/support.md) for the full guide.

### What happens after I submit a ticket?

Your ticket lands in your Support Inbox at `/support` with a reference code. The support team triages and replies inside the ticket thread; you receive status updates and can reply with more detail or screenshots at any time. Statuses include open, triaged, in progress, needs info, planned, shipped, resolved, and a few terminal states.

### What is "Grant support access" on a support ticket?

On an open ticket you can grant the support engineer working on it temporary access to your workspace so they can investigate hands-on. You stay in control: you grant it manually from your ticket, you can revoke it at any time, and it ends automatically when the ticket closes. It is scoped to that one ticket — it does not give ongoing access.
